Specialties in the product range and new plant breedings were in the centre of attention at the HTA National Plant Show in Stoneleigh Park, UK. More than 2.500 visitors came on 19th and 20th June to this beautiful place near Birmingham where the fair took place for the ninth time. We have been there to discover new trends and novelties.

Different trend topics were presented at the Hortipak Hub. Tranquillity in the own garden is something many people aim for. Which plants are suitable to make your own „feel good oasis“ cozy? Which other articles from the portfolio can be combined? An example for selling tables gave answers to these questions. ‚Alfresco‘ and ‚restoring nature‘ were also shown topics in terms of combining products and suitable plants. Furthermore, a detailled analysis of target groups gave room for discussion about „tops and flops“.

Besides that, the fair showed many colour concepts and fitting plant combinations. They help the consumer to reasonably mix complement plants. You can support those kind of concepts by using POS materials such as labels, banners or bench wraps in suitable colours to reach the customer’s attention.

The visitors of the fair had the opportunity to vote for different plant awards. Even two awards have been won by rose „Timeless Purple“ from Wharton’s Roses – she became „best of the show“ and best in shrubs and climbers. Successful in other categories were: Helianthus annuus „Sunbelievable brown eyed girl ‚Sunbeliv01‘“ from Thompson & Morgan (Best Annual), Digitalis ‚Firebird‘ from Farplants (Best Herbaceous Perennial), Ficus Elastica Petit Melany from Plant Partners (Best Houseplant) and Laburnum anagyroides Yellow Pocket® from Frank P Matthews Limited (Best Tree and Conifer).

Inspired by new incentives from the UK we keep on working on special POS solutions. We are happy to also hear your ideas and work with them. Don’t hesitate to contact us!
